Instead of using metal fillings, we only use porcelain or composite materials to fill cavities. Since porcelain and composite materials do not expand or contract, they will not allow bacteria to invade under the filling like metal. Silver fillings can actually weaken the natural tooth.
At Rochon Racicot our use of tooth-colored fillings are more aesthetically appealing and are healthier for you. These fillings will actually strengthen the remaining tooth structure.
